5:52Now PlayingJames Murray, Labour's shadow chief financial secretary to the Treasury, was asked about the Sky revelation yesterday that Sir Keir Starmer told a conference in Canada that "we don't want to diverge from EU rules".
He said Labour has been "clear" that "we don't want to be in the single market, we don't want to be in the customs union, we don't want to bring back freedom of movement".
But he says Labour does "want a better trade and investment relationship" with the EU.
