Reports say a six-year-old boy is among those who have been killed in the attack in Kharkiv, Ukraine.
Kharkiv region governor Oleh Synehubov said that a cafe and a shop had been attacked in the village of Hroza in the Kupyansk district of Kharkiv, and that many civilians had been there at the time.
"The rescuers continue to work on the site," Mr Synehubov said on the Telegram messaging app.
Also, a man who was encouraged by an artificial intelligence chatbot "girlfriend" in his plan to assassinate Queen Elizabeth II has been sentenced to nine years in custody, but will remain in hospital until he is deemed fit enough to go to prison.
