5:25Now PlayingThe World Health Organisation says mpox has been called a global emergency to "stop it getting worse" as a new variant of the disease is "spreading very rapidly".
A spokesperson for the World Health Organisation, Dr Margaret Harris, told Sky News there are "no signs it has gone beyond Africa yet".
But she warned it had spread to countries in Africa that have never seen it before and have "a lot of contact" with the rest of the world, posing a global "threat".
