56:29Now PlayingWatch News at Ten for a roundup of today's top stories from the UK and across the world as Israel's Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu insists he would not "surrender to this pressure" after a day when it certainly seemed nearly unbearable at home and abroad.
Inside Israel, thousands of people blocked roads as they took part in a general strike aiming to force Mr Netanyahu to do a deal to bring hostages held in Gaza home.

Plus, at 10.30pm, we will be reviewing tomorrow's front pages in Sky Papers.
