When asked about Germany considering using the asylum facilities in Rwanda intended for the UK, she said: "My warning to them would be the Rwanda scheme was an expensive gimmick. And it won't work".
On prison overcrowding, Ms Eagle did not rule out sending prisoners to Estonia, saying the Ministy of Justice was "considering all sorts of actions".
