as posted by the channelKim Leadbeater has told Sky News she is "nearly in floods of tears" after MPs voted in favour of advancing legislation that would legalise assisted dying in a historic parliamentary vote.
The Labour MP's Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill received 330 yes votes compared to 275 noes at its second reading in the House of Commons - a majority of 55.
Speaking to Sky's political editor Beth Rigby, Ms Leadbeater said it has been "a really emotional process", adding: "I'm incredibly proud; I think today we've seen parliament at its best."
