Speaking to Sky's Sophy Ridge, Dame Esther said she was "absolutely thrilled" after MPs voted in favour of the Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill at its second reading in the House of Commons by a majority of 55.
The assisted dying campaigner added that she was "lost in awe and admiration" for Kim Leadbeater - the Labour MP who put forward the legislation as a private member's bill.
