In the year to March 2024, there were 53 teenage victims aged 13-19, according to the Office for National Statistics. That is a 140% increase on the 22 teenage victims a decade earlier.
The government says it has a “mission” to halve knife crime over a decade.
Sky News speaks to young men in Birmingham about their experiences with carrying knives.
They told us about an supposed code in place for some - don't go to the police, but instead arm and protect yourself.
