David Mencer told presenter Kamali Melbourne that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is "working side by side" with US President Donald Trump and the two are in "very regular contact".
He said this was because Israel wants all remaining hostages "in one go, not in dribs and drabs".
