Jim Gamble told Sky News "petty, personal and political issues" were ruining the "opportunity of a lifetime" to help the victims of abuse.
"Some people are serving their own vested interests in this, and they know who they are," he said.
"Everyone needs to park their own petty, personal and political issues and focus on what's right for victims."
