Speaking to Sky's political editor Beth Rigby, Lars Lokke Rasmussen said he was "surprised" by President Donald Trump's statement - given the meeting he had with Vice President JD Vance and Marco Rubio.
"We made an agreement - the meeting we had last week left me with a clear impression that President Trump honestly wants to acquire Greenland but we also made it crystal clear that this is a red line".
"It is not easy when we wake up everyday to new threats," he added.
