Columbus billionaire Les Wexner, the retired retail magnate behind L Brands and Victoria’s Secret, has been subpoenaed to testify before the U.S. Congress about his personal and professional association with paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
In a statement submitted to the committee, Wexner said he was "naïve, foolish, and gullible to put any trust in Jeffrey Epstein" and maintained that he has "nothing to hide".
The billionaire says he "completely and irrevocably cut ties with Epstein nearly twenty years ago" and "never witnessed nor had any knowledge of Epstein’s criminal activity."
