Representative Gwen Moore wants to see the earned income tax credit made to me like an adult income tax credit similar to the child tax credit. She wants $4000 per adult or $8000 per married couple in tax credits regardless of if you have children. You would need to make under $90,000 a year. Moore wants to see this added to the $3.5 trillion American Families Plan. Its not clear if this will be a lump sum credit or a month check similar to the 2021 child tax credit stimulus checks. The economic securities project which called for a 4th stimulus check and 5th stimulus check for $2000 now says they back these adult tax credits without a need to have children as well as smaller checks for about 25 million americans over multiple months. So a few hundred a month for multiple months. No update on the $200 raise for SS, SSI or SSDI. Pelosi said Biden can't forgive student loan debt so to quit asking after telling everyone he would forgive $10,000 if they voted for him.
