Today’s guest Dr Michio Kaku has spent more than 70 years studying the universe, and he believes we may be closer than ever to discovering a “theory of everything”.
Dr Michio is a theoretical physicist, futurist and one of the scientists behind String Theory. His work attempts to answer one of the biggest questions humans have ever asked: what is the universe actually made of??
Michio has this rare ability to zoom out and make you realise how small we are, whilst also making you feel hopeful about what humanity could become.
What I learned about Michio is that he doesn’t pretend to have certainty about everything. He’s comfortable sitting in the unknown whilst still pushing relentlessly towards understanding it.
The truth is, most of us are so consumed by day-to-day life that we rarely stop and ask bigger questions about where we came from or where we’re going.
We spoke about:
- How the universe actually works?
- Is immortality possible?
- Are parallel universes real?!
- What happens if humanity becomes advanced enough to leave Earth…
- The real reason scientists are taking UFOs/UAPs more seriously.
I was going through his videos as research before we sat down, and so many of the top comments are people saying that he’s the reason they worked harder in their physics classes - they say he’s the person that made them more curious.
I think that’s such a wonderful thing, because as he said at the start our conversation, physics is the basis of everything and the more we understand, the better the lives we could live.
The reason conversations like this fascinate people is because all of us are trying to understand where we came from and what all of this means.
I expected to learn about physics. I didn’t expect to leave questioning humanity, time and consciousness itself.
