According to the BBC, Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan have sent a "cease-and-desist" letter through a US law firm to at least one of the women making rape and human trafficking claims against him. The letter accuses the woman of making false and defamatory statements about the Tate brothers to the police, media, and other citizens.
Benjamin Bull, who works for the National Centre on Sexual Exploitation, says his client is a key witness in the Romanian investigation and that the letter is an attempt to intimidate and silence the women making accusations against the Tate brothers.
However, lawyers for the Tates have confirmed that the cease-and-desist letter was sent in December as a civil matter for defamation and slander in the US but deny any intimidation.
It's important to hold those who make false accusations and spread fake information accountable for their actions. Lying about serious matters like rape and human trafficking can ruin someone's life and reputation, and it's good to see Andrew and his brother taking legal action to bring the truth to light.
