A three-judge panel—two Biden appointees, one Obama—just unanimously backed Trump’s power to end categorical parole for nationals of Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela. These are people who had parole status under the CHNV program.
The panel ruled that once parole is officially terminated, the administration can lawfully subject those individuals to expedited removal. That means no more free work permits, no more housing, no more federal handouts for new parolees.
