Does the GOP Want People Poorer? w/ Chelsea Fagan

Are the Republicans creating economic chaos on purpose? Chelsea Fagan of The Financial Diet joined Francesca to discuss whether or not the GOP wants to make you poorer.

There are some on the right who absolutely want to create an indentured servitude class. Working class folks regained some power during the pandemic, and flexed it by demanding better wages for “essential work”. The most extreme capitalist fascists want to push workers back to being destitute and desperate, so that they can be more easily exploited.

But, just like with Trump’s tariffs, there are divisions on the right on this front as well. The populist right sees the destitution these policies are creating and are rightfully upset. If only they could get over all that racism, sexism, and homophobia, then maybe they could see that it’s not trans people who are keeping them poor, it’s the billionaire class.
