Why Aren't Democrats Stopping Trump's Meme Coin?

Are the Democrats about to help Trump pass his insane crypto bill? Both unfortunately and unsurprisingly, yes.

The pro crypto lobby has been pushing for favorable legislation in congress, so of course Trump was going to back this bill. He launched his meme coin before his inauguration, holding a dinner that demanded a minimum $2 million purchase of his crypto! The President of the United States is actually selling meme coins from the Oval Office. What!? The issue for Trump is that this bill needs 60 votes in the senate to pass. Surely the Democrats won’t give Trump this win, right?

But it turns out that there are plenty of Dems taking crypto money as well. Senator Ruben Gallego from Arizona in particular has been in bed with big crypto for a while. This is going to pave the way for more rug pulls and crypto scams. But hey, look on the bright side. It’s also going to be easier for drug cartels and human traffickers to do their deals. Win win, right?
