Ilhan Omar is one of the few Democrats out here speaking the truth about Charlie Kirk, and has faced a barrage of attacks because of her principled stance.
As we get further away from Kirk’s murder, more people are willing to actually be honest about the hateful things he stood for. While most Democrats in congress are voting to honor the racist, xenophobic, homophobic hatemonger’s memory, Ilhan Omar is actually telling it how it is.
In a recent CNN interview, Omar defended her criticism of Kirk, saying “what I find jarring is that there's so many people willing to excuse the most reprehensible things that he said…” Exactly this! We don’t need to whitewash who this guy was, just because of what happened to him. Omar herself has been the victim of the violent rhetoric that people like Charlie spewed. Good on Ilhan for having the backbone to stand up for the truth.
