U.S. Senator from Tennessee Marsha Blackburn is running to be governor of the state. Tennessee is a safely red state, so what better way to get elected governor than by going full anti-China racist! This is the angle Marsha has decided to go with, and this ad is nuts.
In the commercial, Marsha is in what appears to be a Chinese food restaurant or a very elaborate set. Blackburn then takes to crushing a bunch of fortune cookies while a deep voiced narrator talks about how she helped President Trump take on Communist China. Yikes, Marsha! This is one step away from her doing yellow face like Andy Rooney in Breakfast at Tiffany’s. One can only hope.
