Now the left is looking to see what went wrong. Did the lack of endorsement from Bernie Sanders or AOC make the difference? Emma Vigeland of The Majority Report joined Francesca to discuss.
It’s no secret that the establishment Democrats put on a full court press to stop Francesca Hong from winning this race. The quite literally pulled David Crowley back into the mix, after he had effectively bowed out and was on vacation. Now the question for us on the left is: how could we have lost this race? Hong seemed to be the clear front runner…
Some are pointing fingers at people like Bernie Sanders and AOC for choosing not to endorse her in this race. While it seems like the media blitz to label Hong as “controversial” over some random tweet about Thanksgiving played a big role, did the lack of support from these big names make the difference? She only lost by a few thousand votes, so it’s hard not to wonder.
