"Transphobic Rep. Cory Mills (R-FL) is facing a criminal investigation for the alleged assault of 27-year-old woman Sarah Raviani. The alleged assault reportedly occurred last Wednesday in his luxury penthouse in Washington, D.C., WRC-TV reported, though Mills has denied any wrongdoing. Mills recently supported legislation to “[restore] the safety and security of America’s women” by deporting people.
The police report of the incident noted that Raviani appeared “physically shaking and scared” in the lobby of a nearby building when officers arrived to investigate her report of a domestic disturbance. She told the officers that her “significant other for over a year grabbed her, shoved her, and pushed her out of the door,” leaving “bruises on her arm which appeared fresh” to police investigators. Her “significant other” is believed to be Mills."
