Pete Hegseth stars in desperate ad begging Americans for money for Iran war
"U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth is under fire for posting a seemingly AI-generated ad promoting the Pentagon's eye-watering $1.5 trillion defense budget request for the 2027 fiscal calendar.
Hegseth posted a roughly two-and-a-half-minute video ad on social media of him talking in front of a green screen that was overlaid with graphic visual aids. In the video, the defense secretary laid out the Trump administration's efforts to get better deals on defense contracts, which he described as a "common sense" move that replaces "bureaucracy" with "business."
The video advertisement comes a week after Hegseth was forced to face difficult questioning from lawmakers for the first time since the U.S. and Israel launched the military offensive against Iran."
