20:28Now PlayingAmerica's farmers are heading into another uncertain harvest season, and many are hoping Canada and Mexico can help make up for export markets damaged by years of trade wars and broken trust.
In today's video, I discuss why U.S. farmers are watching the USMCA negotiations so closely, why Canada and Mexico matter so much to American agriculture, and why a trade deal on paper may not be enough to solve the bigger problem.
Even if politicians reach an agreement, Canadian consumers have already been pushing back against American products through boycotts and "Buy Canadian" movements. That raises a serious question: can American farmers really count on Canada to save them?
I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments.
