The European Commission, which includes Ireland, issued a retaliatory response to the president’s recent imposition of 25 percent tariffs on aluminum and steel imports.
The luncheon, which follows an earlier bilateral meeting, is scheduled to begin at 12 p.m. EDT.
The two leaders are also expected to participate in a St. Patrick’s Day reception later Wednesday.
