2:58:16Now PlayingPresident Trump is hosting a Cabinet meeting at the White House Tuesday morning as the administration responds to war crime allegations against Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth related to strikes on alleged drug boats in the Caribbean.
Hegseth came under scrutiny after reports surfaced that he ordered military leaders to “kill everybody” during subsequent strikes in September. The White House confirmed the Defense chief’s role in the operations but placed much of the credit on Navy Adm. Frank Bradley.
The administration has largely defended its moves as tensions with Venezuela rise.
The meeting also comes as special envoy Steve Witkoff travels to Moscow to sell Trump’s peace plan to end the war in Ukraine to Russian President Vladimir Putin and as immigration enforcement ramps up following the shooting of two National Guard soldiers in Washington, D.C., last week.
The meeting is scheduled to begin at 11:30 a.m. EST.
