2:09Now PlayingRep. Jim Clyburn (D-S.C.), a Democratic titan of the House, announced Thursday that he will seek reelection this year for an 18th term, ending the speculation that he was ready to retire at the end of this Congress.
Speaking to reporters in South Carolina, Clyburn, 85, said he will file the paperwork to run again in November’s midterms to keep his seat in the sprawling 6th District that Clyburn has held since 1993.
