Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that he instructed his Cabinet to negotiate with the Lebanese government, amid the Israeli military’s continued strikes on Hezbollah in Lebanon.

“In light of repeated requests from Lebanon to open direct negotiations with Israel, I instructed the cabinet yesterday to begin direct negotiations with Lebanon as soon as possible,” Netanyahu said, according to a statement obtained by NewsNation.
