as posted by the channel

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Joint Chiefs of Staff Chair Dan Caine will testify before a Senate Appropriations Committee panel on Tuesday morning about the ongoing conflict in Iran and President Trump‘s fiscal 2027 budget request for the Pentagon.

Hegseth is also likely to face questions on his growing feud with Sen. Mark Kelly (R-Ariz.). The defense chief most recently accused Kelly of spilling confidential information during a Sunday interview.

Caine and Hegseth also testified before the House earlier Tuesday, when lawmakers pressed the Pentagon secretary on the Iran supplemental. Jules Hurst III, the Pentagon’s acting chief financial officer, said during the hearing that the cost of the war is nearing $29 billion.
