You read that sentence correctly. Montanans opted for a reporter-assaulting Republican rather than a true progressive (the Bernie Sanders-backed Rob Quist) that would have fought for single-payer healthcare. Millions of dollars were poured into Gianforte's campaign, and turnout was devastatingly low, but those that voted apparently didn't care that Greg Gianforte JUST BODY SLAMMED A REPORTER. Really Montana?
