President Trump has largely turned a blind eye to the situation—that is—until he was basically forced to acknowledge the humanitarian crisis after receiving criticism for his tepid response. That didn't stop him from bragging about his administration's supposed "support" for Puerto Rico, claiming he thinks he's done "a very good job" when he's offered no help to Puerto Ricans and has been widely criticized for his unwillingness to act. The president is trying to rewrite history as it happens. His response is embarrassingly pathetic and is nothing to write home about.
