6:58Now PlayingIn a 52 to 41 vote, the Senate opted to re-confirm Chairman Ajit Pai to the FCC to finish serving his five-year term. Not a single Republican senator voted against Pai, and four Democrats joined them in approving an extension of Pai's tenure at the FCC: Joe Manchin, Claire McCaskill, Jon Tester, and Gary Peters. Pai's re-confirmation virtually guarantees that Title II net neutrality protections will be repealed when the FCC votes on the regulatory change towards the end of the year. It's a sad day for the internet in America.
