Alex is a returning caller back with a challenge: proving that secular humanism can't properly account for morality and that only God — specifically the Christian Bible — can. What follows is a slow-motion philosophical unraveling, as Seth and Forrest press Alex on which God, which Bible, and which interpretation, exposing that 2,000 years of Christian scholars can't agree on the basics. Alex attempts to drown out Seth's list of contested doctrines by humming, gets muted. Ultimately he can't answer the question his own argument demands: if everyone interprets the Bible differently, whose interpretation of morality are we using? Stick around for Forrest's send-off benediction and the post-call observation that the God Alex wants to use as a moral foundation seems to have a very flexible stance on murder, rape, and slavery.
