10:37Now PlayingDonald Trump sued the BBC for $10 billion over a 2024 Panorama edit of his January 6 speech. Because the BBC cannot write a settlement check, it is fighting — and it has asked a Miami court for permission to subpoena Ivanka Trump, Donald Trump Jr., and Jared Kushner.
The filing says Don Jr. and Ivanka were in the Oval Office while the speech was revised. Kushner drafted a condemnation the White House never issued. Process servers were blocked at the Miami house, and Secret Service counsel refused to facilitate service. The BBC is now asking to serve them by email and certified mail.
The court has not granted that yet. Trump's team has until Friday to respond. A trial is provisionally set for February.
