Yuri and his wife had just begun unloading produce from their van when the drone appeared. He survived with shrapnel injuries and a concussion. The footage is hard to watch.
Reuters covered it as a potential war crime. Ukraine's President Zelensky called it part of Russia's 'drone safari' against civilians. A Russian military-linked Telegram channel with over 50,000 members published the footage, claimed responsibility, called Yuri a pig, and promised to continue. Their words: 'This time he was very lucky.

A UN commission has already concluded that Russia's systematic drone attacks in Kherson constitute crimes against humanity. This is not a rogue incident. It is a documented pattern: civilians walking, driving, biking, delivering supplies, and responding to prior strikes. all deliberately targeted by FPV operators who can clearly see what they are hitting. You do not have to pick a side in the Russia-Ukraine war to call this what it is.
