Key Bridge was nearly 30 times above acceptable risk for bridges at time of collapse

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) said the Maryland Transportation Authority's (MDTA) lack of conducting risk evaluations via established standards contributed to allowing the collapse of the Francis Scott Key Bridge to occur.
