Republicans demand transparency in Epstein file release as Trump sues Wall Street Journal

President Donald Trump has responded to increasing calls for the release of Jeffrey Epstein's files, labeling the demands a "hoax" and attributing them to "radical left Democrats." Despite this, the pressure for transparency has largely come from some of Trump's own supporters.

Teresa Helm, a survivor of sexual assault by Epstein, emphasized the need for accountability. "Those that harm and exploit, they have to be silenced, not the survivors continuing to be silenced," she said.

President Trump has authorized the Department of Justice to release grand jury testimony from Epstein's case.

However, Tom Fitton, President of Judicial Watch, expressed frustration over the lack of progress. "President Trump and his team promised disclosures and investigations and we’re still waiting for the disclosures and the substance of any investigations," Fitton said.
