Instead of heading out on active patrol, Trump arrived at the US Park Police office in Anacostia around 5:30 p.m. to greet servicemembers.

By 6:10 p.m., Trump had returned to the White House. Shortly after 7:40 p.m., the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) said they received a surprise visit from the President.
