White House blames cashless bail policies for North Carolina light rail attack

Disturbing information has been revealed about the suspect who stabbed a 23-year-old Ukrainian refugee to death while she sat on a North Carolina train last month.

Decarlos Brown, Jr., 34, a repeat offender, was identified as the suspect by the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department and charged with first-degree murder in connection with Iryna Zarutska's death. A judge issued a "no bond" order.

Records from the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office show Brown has been arrested multiple times on a variety of offenses, including assault. He is reportedly homeless.

A GoFundMe account set up to help Zarutska's family with funeral expenses said she had recently arrived in the United States, "seeking safety from the war and hoping for a new beginning. Tragically, her life was cut short far too soon."
