Rep. Mark Harris blames Democrats for shutdown as Capitol Hill readies for crucial vote

As the federal government shutdown reaches day two, thousands of employees are either working without pay or have been furloughed – left in limbo as Washington remains gridlocked.

Congress will not reconvene to vote on a resolution until tomorrow afternoon, due to the observance of Yom Kippur, the Jewish Day of Atonement.
