The Prime Minister went on to claim whilst he was in fact in attendance at the 20th of May 2020, 10 Downing Street drinks, he did not believe that this was a party, and thought of it instead as a "work event".
This began after ITV revealed evidence of a BYOB drinks event being organised in the Downing Street garden by one of Boris Johnson's most senior aides.
