In a shocking revelation, Anum Qaisar describes her experiences of being racially profiled by Parliament police while she was wearing traditional Pakistani clothes - despite being an elected member of parliament. She also tells of being questioned when in 'MP-only' areas.
She and Crewe also discuss the nature of the Parliament building itself, and why it is so difficult to integrate modern working practices - such as video links and hybrid working - in the archaic institution of government... and the impact this has on the types of people who become MPs and make UK law.
