Andrew Marr explains how Nicola Sturgeon "was left with very, very few options", making the road to independence a "long" one.

There are three main candidates attempting to replace Nicola Sturgeon currently, argues Andrew Marr, Humza Yousaf, Kate Forbes and Ash Regan, each of whom are "relatively young". Marr argues that the SNP handing the leadership to "a much younger generation" shows that the party accepts that they are "no longer on the margin or the verge or the lip" of Scottish independence.
