Last week, Keir Starmer confirmed a U-turn on winter fuel payment cuts.
Amid continued gloomy predictions for the UK economy, and a poor showing for Labour in the local elections, there’s been plenty of talk about whether chancellor Rachel Reeves will need to loosen her fiscal rules, or raise taxes.
