Arriving at Labour conference in Liverpool under a cloud of unpopularity, Keir Starmer faced protests from two very different groups.
On one hand, flag-waving "Unite the Kingdom" protesters decrying the government's plans to introduce Digital ID.
On the other, Palestine Action supporters holding signs to protest the proscription of the group.
The New Statesman met protesters from both groups to learn why they felt driven to protest and what they thought of Keir Starmer.
