Bell (R) is currently the City Councilor for Anderson's 3 District... he has held that position for 8 years, winning his first election in November of 2015 & taking office in 2016, at which point, he retired from the Anderson City Police Department after having served for 24 years in patrol & working as an evidence technician. He also served in various roles in the FOP, including time spent as president. Bell also has a life away from "public safety" where he worked with Real Estate Development... Business Management in Agriculture, & Construction Management.
Bell had the option of playing it safe and simply running for re-election, however, he deiced it was time to step up and challenge the incumbent Mayor, Democrat, Thomas Broderick Jr. Does he have what it takes to unseat a (both popular & controversial) sitting Mayor... with the hopes of moving the City of Anderson forward? It will be interesting to hear his plans for the City of Anderson. Tune in... & make your own mind up!?
