Kosmographia Episode 006 / Atlantis Mystery - Evidence Revealed (pt4), from 9/03/19. RC joins the Snake Bros - Kyle and Russ, Normal Guy Mike, and GeocosmicREX admin Bradley. Climate spasms are revealed in graphs derived from Greenland ice core studies. Cultural shifts along the 10,000 year timeline are shown to correspond with the temperature fluctuations. He also shows evidence from the 1940's that suggest portions of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge have been exposed above sea level recently!
Finding's from the Atlantis Expedition of 1954: "The state of lithification of the limestone suggests that it may have been lithified under subaerial conditions and that the seamount may have been an island within the past 12,000 years."
This is just one of many important discoveries from the various Atlantis Expeditions. They also found evidence of beach sand over two miles below the present sea level. In other words, the coastline along the Mid-Atlantic Ridge has sunk more than two miles during the Pleistocene / Holocene transition! While sea levels have risen about 400 feet, on average, this is still not enough to account for the extreme change in elevation. The only other explanation is that the Mid-Atlantic Ridge acts as a hinge-line, and is pushed down under the weight of all the melted water from the ice sheets. This process is termed Eustasy, and relates to Isostasy.
