Evidence that onset and growth of ice mass has happened really quickly
Inter-glacial has no significant accumulated mass of ice, glacial does
Climate oscillating between extremes, new terms: Stade / inter-stade – periods in-between larger extremes
Last period of contracted ice an inter-glacial or inter-stadial? Eemian period 105-120kya last full-blown inter-glacial like now
Radio-carbon dating came 1950’s, revealed ages of plants where ice retreated
Full-blown glacial by 20kya that showed sudden refreeze 27-28kya
Not sure what is driving these changes, but sure that it’s not CO2 (actually follows)
