Iovate Health Sciences U.S.A. Inc. a/k/a MuscleTech has been hit with a class action lawsuit by a consumer who claims that their dietary supplement Platinum 100% BCAA 8:1:1 decreases muscle protein synthesis, the opposite of what is advertised by the company. Plaintiff Tom Sabatano claims that he purchased Iovate’s Platinum BCAA at a GNC store in New York. He says the phrase “Promotes Muscle Protein Synthesis” was prominently displayed on the product.
