A damning new report from the US Senate has confirmed that Donald Trump attempted to use his cronies at the US Department of Justice to overturn the election, and at least one of them was prepared to go along with his plan. Luckily, the rest of the DOJ was not as open to the idea of illegally overturning an election, and the President's demands never became a reality, but the fact that any of this even happened should leave everyone on edge. Yesterday, we got a long awaited Senate report detailing exactly how Donald Trump and his allies attempted to use the US department of justice to overturn the 2020 presidential election. Now, luckily, obviously, as we all know, the DOJ did not follow through with Donald Trump's request. But what we learned yesterday was that you did have at least one high ranking official within the DOJ that was more than happy to go along with it. And we also had a Republican representative by the name of Scott Perry, from Pennsylvania, who was active in pushing the DOJ to try to investigate all of these bogus claims of voter fraud. Now this information, again, a little of its new, most of it just kind of reconfirms everything that we had already known up to this point. And of course, this came from interviews that the Senate committee had with the former members of the DOJ who Donald Trump was trying to get to overturn the election.

It came straight from their mouths. That's the important thing, right? It came from the emails, it came from the messages. It came from all of the information directly from the individuals involved. That's evidence, right? So the big question now is what do we do with this? Again, we didn't really learn much of anything that we didn't already know. We got a couple more names and places, but, but we knew all of this already took place. So what are we going to do about it? And I think that's the big question on everybody's minds right now. We have the evidence. We have the witnesses. We have the documents. We have the names, the dates, the places, the conversations. So let's move forward with prosecutions. If Donald Trump did in fact, try to abuse his power to have the United States department of justice overturn a legally conducted election here in the United States, um, what would we get him for, maybe treason. I dunno, sedition. Nah, probably not. How about abuse of power? How about election interference? How about any of those other things albeit small that you could charge the former president with to effectively keep him out of office forever.

Because the threat from Trump already happened, but there's also the looming threat of Trump running again in 2024. And you think after what happened in 2020, that if Donald Trump were to become president again, he's just going to live, leave peacefully. You think he's going to give a about term limits when he clearly didn't give a about legitimately losing the election? Uh-uh, I don't trust him. I don't trust what he would do in that office. And that is why I do think the law enforcement officials in here in the United States need to do everything to prevent him from even having that opportunity again, because the next time I promise you, it's going to end even worse than this one did. They can prosecute him. Again, just off the top of my head, you do have abuse of power. You have election interference. You have coercion. It's all right there in this Senate report. And the DOJ needs to get busy prosecuting so that we don't have to worry about Donald Trump doing something like this ever again.
